Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I’d even go as far to say that it’s my second favorite, next to Christmas. Of course, D is still too young to really experience the holiday and the trick-or-treating and candy-eating that goes along with it, but we still had fun dressing him as Superman. (A hand-me-down costume from a friend. Sometimes the best things in life are truly FREE.) I also had a moment of fun at the dog’s expense, dressing him up in a too-small lobster dog costume that I bought last year on clearance.
My boys – Halloween 2012
So while we didn’t have our annual Halloween party this year, or even dress up, we still had fun handing out candy to the 150+ kids that came by our house. After reading all the Facebook posts and talking to friends that had ZERO trick-or-treaters, I’m so thankful we live in a neighborhood that really gets into the spirit of the holiday and allows us to take a small part in making happy memories for so many families.
We tried to get a shot of D next to the treat bowl and this is what happened:
Going for the Gold(fish)
Something tells me this kid will have no problem getting the hang of this trick-or-treat thing in a couple of years.
